SUV with boat LEGALLY cuts me off! Read description, you’ll be amazed!!

The gentleman in the Pajero and boat trailer felt he didn't need to allow me through the roundabout.

Turns out he was RIGHT! Here is the email from the Police...

"Hi Michael

I’ve now reviewed the matter and have cautioned the driver.

The main issue I found was that you hadn’t crossed over the white lines of the roundabout while he had already crossed them and was accelerating (albeit slowly due to the boat he was towing).

Because of this, I’m unable to issue the driver with an infringement, as it only applies to failing to give way to vehicles already within a roundabout.

I have also reminded him that under the Road Traffic Code a bicycle is defined as a type of vehicle, and as such, are to be given way to like motorised vehicles."

So there you have it! You do NOT have to give way to the right unless the vehicle is IN the roundabout! Who knew!!.
