Riding south along the freeway on the bike path, forced onto the road due to road works. Merrily pedalling a long and a car coming the opposite direction decides to take a right turn right across where I was and completely cleaned me up. Footage is rear facing, but the bike gets some pretty impressive air as I bounce off the windscreen. I was riding at around 35km/h, not sure of the car's speed in the other direction. Somehow I managed to just roll off the bonnet straight into my feet and walk away with nothing but 9 stitches, probably from the license plate trying to take a chunk out of my knee. The bike is toast. June 2nd, 2019.
